The sports performance center is McKendree Athletic’s newest addition. The facility is one of the nicest in NCAA Division II and opened in February of 2014. Each of the camps will work with the head strength and conditioning coach at this facility. The building consists of 7,500-square feet for the Bearcat athletic teams to utilize for strength and performance training. The Sports Performance Center is filled with lifting racks along with approximately 19,000 pounds of free weights. Material for the floor underneath the lifting racks are made from the recycled soles of athletic shoes. The facility also contains 2,400-square feet of artificial turf for use in sprints and sled drills.
